Elevated Chicago has begun its work at strategic locations along the Green, Pink and Blue lines of the Chicago Transit Authority system.

These locations represent a spectrum of market conditions and equitable development opportunities – from rapid gentrification to stark disinvestment. As a result, in each of these communities, for all their differences, share a common present: People of color are at a higher risk of displacement from these areas. See the changes by visiting this housing displacement map developed by CNT.

Leaders from the communities where the stations are located are part of Elevated Chicago’s steering committee and community tables, and help guide the work, which happens within a half-mile radius of each transit station. Elevated Chicago expects to scale this model regionally.
