Two Elevated Chicago leaders speak on “Visions for Chicago’s Future” at Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago event

Drs. Helene Gayle and Allison Arwady, co-chairs of Elevated Chicago’s Leadership Council, spoke during the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago’s virtual Chicago Forum, on the topic of “Visions for Chicago’s Future.” Gayle, who is the CEO of the Chicago Community Trust, and Arwady, who is the commissioner of the Chicago Dept. of Public Health, offered solutions for an equitable COVID-19 recovery in Chicago, including the need to engage communities in planning and the return to transit use by residents. They were joined in conversation by Jennifer Scanlon, chair, Commercial Club of Chicago, and Samir Mayekar, Chicago Deputy Mayor, Neighborhood and Economic Development, and moderator Charles Evans, president of the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago.
